Great service. Had quesadilla but minimal chicken in it. Chilli. Chicken tenders were good! You can tell the fryer oil is changed lol. Drinks good! The BEST deep fried pickles! Second visit; Service was great! Bartender so nice! Nashville crispy chicken minus the Nashville was SO good. Steak bites and soup very delicious! Cole Slaw ok, maybe missing some seasoning?

RealTalkGeo visits Northwoods Bar & Grill in Nowthen, MN Northwoods Bar & Grill gave us exactly the kind of experience you hope for in a hometown bar and grill. We stopped in during a day of YouTube filming for a local property video and loved it so much, we ended up featuring it. The Patty Melt was spot-on: toasted just right, packed with flavor, and paired with crispy onion rings and seasoned sour cream. But the standout for me was the Timber Logs—jalapeno poppers filled with sausage and served with a warmed up raspberry sauce. Sweet, spicy, and totally addictive. They’ve also got a great community vibe here—bingo nights, meat raffles, and that friendly energy that makes you feel like you’ve been coming for years. If you’re looking for bars near Elk River, grills in Anoka County, or just some excellent comfort food in Nowthen, MN, Northwoods is absolutely worth your stop. Decent variety of food and drinks on tap, and reasonably priced. You can tell they actually prepare and cook food. Real food. Not microwaved cafeteria slop like a lot of other establishments in the area do. Awesome staff. It's the main reason I keep going back

they have the best boneless buffalo wings! I've said this for years, I will drive out of my way for them. and tried a new drink that was awesome!
